About the role

OVERVIEW: This person is responsible for the operation of a field survey crew. Organize field work, direct crew members, maintain a safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locating features, deliver data to the office, maintain accurate records of work and expenses. Will work primarily in the Louisiana or Southeast Region.
WHAT YOU NEED: High School Diploma or GED.3-10+ years progressive experience in survey field operations with no less than 1 year as a survey crew chief Experienced performing Construction Staking, Topographic and Boundary Surveying for Civil Site Land Development. Good technical skills: behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, likes work alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure. Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, data collectors and GPS equipment).Some overnight travel may be required. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record. DURING YOUR WORKDAY, YOU WILL:Be responsible for the operation of field survey crews working primarily on projects in Louisiana or Southeast Region).Organize field work with these major objectives:quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity, meet regulatory requirements, public relations)safetymeeting schedulesmeeting budgetsproviding responsive service to clients. Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locating features, deliver data to the office, maintain accurate records of work and expenses.
