About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead end-to-end operations for a high-volume, fast-paced convenience retail and foodservice location in Richmond, VA.This is a critical leadership opportunity for a hands-on operator who thrives in a 24/7 environment and has a passion for developing people, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving strong financial and operational results. The General Manager will serve as the primary leader of the location, accountable for store profitability, customer satisfaction, operational execution, team engagement, and compliance. The successful candidate will establish a strong culture of accountability and service while developing future leaders and ensuring consistent execution across all shifts. Key Responsibilities: Own store performance and achieve or exceed financial targets, including sales, profitability, and key performance indicators. Analyze financial reports and P&L statements to identify trends, opportunities, and actions to improve profitability. Manage inventory, labor, expenses, waste, and other controllable costs to optimize store performance. Ensure operational standards for safety, service, quality, and efficiency are consistently met or exceeded. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Review audit findings, address performance gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Lead hiring, staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and workforce planning for a 24/7 operation. Recruit, coach, develop, recognize, and retain a high-performing team. Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities. Ensure associates are properly trained to perform their roles safely, effectively, and in accordance with company standards. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging workplace built on respect, recognition, and accountability. Deliver an exceptional customer experience and respond effectively to customer feedback and concerns. Lead change initiatives and ensure successful implementation of new processes, programs, and business priorities. Collaborate with internal partners and leverage available company resources to improve store performance. Build positive relationships within the local community and strengthen the location's presence. Maintain a highly visible, hands-on leadership presence across multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred. Experience leading operations in retail, foodservice, convenience retail, or fuel environments. Demonstrated success managing hiring, training, performance management, and employee development. Experience with labor planning, scheduling, expense management, and resource allocation. Strong financial acumen, including experience analyzing P&L performance and driving financial results. Proven ability to implement change and deliver measurable operational improvements. Experience across multiple areas of store operations; foodservice experience is preferred. Serv Safe certification preferred. Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence. Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to relocate is preferred.
