Toolcraft Machining, Inc. is seeking skilled Boring Bar Machinists to join our 2nd Shift team, at our facility in Germantown, WI.
Essential Job Responsibilities: Ability to set up and operate any of the following machines: TOSHIBA BTD – with TOSNUC controls TOSHIBA BTH – with TOSNUC controls Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, models, routing instructions, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Determine tooling requirements, setup procedures and control settings. Set up CNC machine with setup blocks, fixtures, clamps, or any other necessary devices to receive and hold parts/components for safe machining operation. Monitor and/or develop speed, feed, depth, or angle of cut during machining operations. Loads and unloads parts/components from machine using overhead hoist/crane for heavy materials. Enter program commands within machine controller or retrieve preprogrammed code. Monitor machine to change cutting tools/inserts as required. Measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications (.002 or potentially tighter tolerance) and GD&T.Manually adjust machine controls to prevent out-of-tolerance machining. Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machine and work area daily.
Essential Job Qualifications: 2+ years of experience setting up and running Boring Bars 5+ years of experience in CNC machining Proficient in GD&T, Blueprint reading, and G-Code Ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds
Physical Requirements: This role is primarily conducted from a standing position, with some shorter periods from a seated position. Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Ability to lift arms overhead, bend, and twist from the waist. Use of fingers, hands, and arms. Must be able to see, hear, and speak. Manufacturing environment – medium to high volume levels with exposure to eye irritants.
