Job Description: Well established, Award-winning, Sarasota based Landscape Architecture and Arboreal Consulting Firm of over 40 years.
Position Overview: In this position as a Landscape CAD Technician / Production Assistant, you will havethe opportunity to work as part of a team of designers and Landscape Architects onmultiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients. Responsibilities and Duties Use Knowledge of CAD and related skills to complete assigned tasks includingproject set-up, file management, dimension and detail plans, quality assurance, plotting and document assembly. Work collaboratively with team to assist in CAD drafting and preparation ofconstruction plans, bid documents, and technical specifications, in a variety of landscape development projects. Effectively communicate with other team members and adhere to companystandards. Occasional field surveys for drawing development and site inventory may berequired. Qualifications Minimum two years of experience with AutoCAD and basic draftingfundamentals in a professional capacity. Ability to read site plans and elevations; minimum one year experience workingon projects with exposure to civil and architectural site plans. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Willingness to learn LandFX. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is a plus but not required. Able to follow office CAD standards. Cooperative skills in working professionally with a team as well as independently. Expert time management with ability to rise to challenges to meet strictdeadlines. Strong organization skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to prioritizemultiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to responsibilities. Experience with or interest in learning local horticulture. Experience working in a Landscape Architectural or Civil Engineering Firm is aplus, but not required.
Education and Experience: Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalentcombination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience. Position will primarily work in an office setting with some field work. This is not a remoteposition.*Position is full-time. Internship opportunities available as well.
