SharePoint Online Lead Seeking an experienced SharePoint Online Lead to oversee daily support activities, provide direction to contractor resources, manage escalations, and implement sustainable solutions for ongoing SharePoint challenges. This role focuses on improving platform stability, governance, permissions management, storage administration, and site lifecycle processes across the environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep SharePoint Online support and administration expertise, along with leadership experience managing support operations, escalations, governance initiatives, and long-term platform improvements within a large enterprise environment.
Primary Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day support and administration activities for SharePoint Online. Coordinate and supervise contractor resources, support queues, and escalation processes. Identify recurring platform issues and drive permanent resolutions related to storage management, permissions, governance controls, and site lifecycle administration. Ensure service quality and operational effectiveness across SharePoint support functions.
Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, or comparable enterprise collaboration platforms. Strong hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online, including site management, permissions, storage oversight, governance practices, and content lifecycle management. Experience leading support personnel or contract resources, including responsibility for ticket management, escalations, and service delivery oversight. Proven troubleshooting and problem management capabilities, with demonstrated success resolving recurring technical and operational issues. Knowledge of ITIL-based support methodologies and best practices. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, documentation, reporting, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft 365 and/or SharePoint-related certifications. Experience with Power Platform, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Purview, or retention and records management policies. Experience supporting users and teams in a global enterprise environment.
