Application Instructions: Please attached resume or apply in person at 771 Virgil Abilene, TX If you have any questions call 325-486-4740 or 325-486-4413 Position Description The purpose of this position is to assist in the fabrication of structural projects and /or bridge girders. This position is one of much training under supervision of a more experienced welder.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Aid in producing quality welds to complete fabrication process Levels, scrapes and finishes edges or surfaces using hand scrapper Adjusts valves to obtain flame of specified size and color and adjusts arc welding equipment to obtain specified size arc, under strict supervision Obtain accurate amperage, voltage, slope and pulse on welding unit Cleans weld joint Operates hand- held and tractor cutting torch assemble Able to meet established deadlines Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
