About the Opportunity:
HeartcoR Solutions is looking for an experienced Director of Business Development to help drive our continued growth within the clinical research industry. This is a true business development role for someone who loves building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing business. The Sr. Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing new client relationships while expanding opportunities within existing accounts across the medical device, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries. We’re looking for someone who already understands the clinical research landscape and can bring both industry knowledge and a strong sales mindset to the role.
What You’ll Do:
Own and achieve assigned sales and business development targets.
Prospect, develop, and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and RFPs.
Identify and engage key decision-makers within medical device, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies.
Understand prospective clients’ needs and clearly articulate HeartcoR Solutions’ value proposition.
Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and contract.
Develop strategic plans for target accounts and identify opportunities within existing client relationships.
Prepare and deliver persuasive client-facing presentations.
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop solutions and proposals aligned with client requirements.
Build relationships with CROs, life sciences service providers, and other potential strategic partners.
Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting within the company CRM.Attend industry conferences and trade shows to develop relationships, identify market opportunities, and generate new business.
Stay informed on competitive activity, market trends, and evolving client needs.
What We’re Looking For:
7+ years of business development experience with a demonstrated history of achieving sales targets.
Significant experience within the clinical research industry and clinical study development.
Knowledge of core laboratory services is highly desired.
Strong prospecting, networking, relationship-building, and closing skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and translate them into actionable sales plans.
Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Willingness to travel domestically, with occasional international travel.
