Job Description:
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician who is willing and able to travel for commercial electrical projects. Qualified candidates must have prior traveling experience and be able to provide references from previous employers or project managers verifying their work performance, reliability, and travel history. This is a long-term opportunity for a motivated electrician looking to grow with a company that values safety, quality workmanship, leadership, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
Install conduit, pull wire, terminate devices, and perform equipment hookups.
Coordinate work with supervisors, project managers, and other trades.
Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and safety regulations.
Maintain productivity while working on out-of-town projects.
Mentor apprentices and help develop less experienced electricians.
Complete projects on schedule while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Requirements:
Current Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
Previous travel experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects.
Must provide professional references verifying travel experience and work performance.
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
Ability to bend conduit, pull wire, install equipment, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Dependable transportation and valid driver's license.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening if required.
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading crews or serving as a foreman.
Industrial or large commercial project experience.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Desire to advance into supervisory or management roles.
