Position Overview: As a Commercial Container Delivery Driver, you are the muscles and brains behind getting our waste and recycling containers where they need to go. You won't just be driving—you’ll be operating state-of-the-art hydraulic equipment, maneuvering heavy steel roll-off and commercial containers, and delivering top-tier service to our commercial customers. No two days are exactly the same, but every day gives you the freedom of the road with the security of a supportive, safety-first team. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)Master the Machinery: Safely operate container delivery trucks and on-board hydraulic systems to drop off, pick up, and relocate commercial waste dumpster containers. Keep It Safe: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR). Safety isn’t just a policy here—it’s our priority. Be the Face of GFL: Represent the Green Machine with pride. Provide friendly, reliable service when interacting with customers on your route. Spot-On Precision: Place containers at customer sites safely, ensuring hazards are avoided and containers without lids are securely tarped/covered for transport. Keep the Fleet Rolling: Maintain clean equipment (inside and out) and report any mechanical issues to maintenance immediately so you’re always driving a smooth ride. Master Your Route: Keep accurate logs, complete route sheets, and partner with dispatch/supervisors to optimize route efficiency.
What You Bring: (Requirements & Qualifications)License to Roll: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial truck driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school. Safety Mindset: Clean driving record and a commitment to safety-sensitive function standards. Physical Stamina: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavy equipment/containers as needed. Positive Attitude: Great communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset.
