Job Description
Summary:
Seeking an experienced Pipe Welder with 5+ years of experience welding carbon steel pipe using MIG, Sub-Arc, and Flux Core. Must be able to produce pressure-containing welds that meet 100% X-ray standards. A weld test is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, modification procedures, and weld procedures.
- Perform fit-ups, structural welds and pressure containing welds on carbon steel pipe and fittings
- Weld procedures including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAWOvertime and weekend work required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Welder qualification required as part of application process.
Familiar with ASME code requirements a plus.
Able to produce “x-ray quality” welds.
Able to read and interpret Prints, WPS, Specifications, Work Instructions.
Fabrication & Mechanical skills a plus.
Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8-10 hour shifts.
Must be able lift up to 40 Lbs. on occasion.
Basic computer skills.
Experience operating a forklift.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to work as a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Education and Qualifications:
High School or GED required. Minimum 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
