It’s knowing your customers, understanding what’s changing inside their businesses, bringing them ideas before they ask and finding opportunities to grow the relationship. Some accounts need to be protected. Some need to be rebuilt. Others have significantly more potential than what they’re buying from us today. Your job is to know the difference—and do something about it.
Your Mission: Retain, develop and grow an assigned book of business. You’ll own the commercial relationship with the customers in your book, uncover new opportunities and turn strong relationships into profitable growth. You’ll have support from an Account Coordinator so you can spend more time with customers and creating the next opportunity.
What You'll Do: Own and proactively develop an assigned portfolio of customer relationships. Build relationships with decision-makers, key contacts and influencers. Understand customer initiatives, business changes, budgets, recurring needs and upcoming opportunities. Lead discovery and ask better questions to uncover the real objective behind customer requests. Identify cross-sell and expansion opportunities across SOLV’s capabilities. Develop the strategy behind customer recommendations and why they make sense. Partner with the Account Coordinator on product research, creative sourcing, pricing, quotes, presentations and samples. Present ideas and recommendations, own follow-up and negotiate through a decision. Close profitable additional business while protecting healthy margins. Re-engage declining or underdeveloped accounts and maintain accurate activity and next steps in our CRM.Who We're Looking For Experience managing and growing customer relationships. A proactive relationship builder who thinks beyond the immediate order. Strong discovery skills and the ability to spot opportunities inside an existing relationship. Comfort presenting recommendations and asking for additional business. The ability to re-engage customers whose spend or engagement has declined. Commercial awareness around revenue, margin and account potential. Strong organization, follow-through and CRM discipline. A collaborative style that works well with Account Coordinators, Customer Service and internal specialists. Experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, apparel, print, company stores or a related industry is valuable—but we’re more interested in someone who knows how to develop relationships into growing accounts. How You'll Know You're Winning Existing-account retention and year-over-year book growth. Gross-margin dollars. New opportunities created within existing accounts. Cross-sell, expansion and reactivated revenue. Accounts increasing in value and potential.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $55,000–$60,000, based on experience. Benefits include paid leave, paid holidays, health, vision and dental insurance, 401(k), and more. Why SOLV?We make a lot of things at SOLV—from branded merchandise and apparel to print, company stores, direct mail and fulfillment. But what makes the work interesting isn’t the stuff itself. It’s figuring out what should exist in the first place and finding a way to make it real. That’s why we want people who ask better questions, find the smarter answer and own the outcome. We’ve been doing this for more than 50 years, but we’re still small enough that your ideas matter, your work gets noticed and you can have a real impact on where we go next. If you want to build relationships, bring ideas to the table and help customers push what’s possible, we’d like to meet you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
