About the role
- Create and maintain backend java service independently using Java, Spring Boot, and AWSDeveloping backend data storage system design.
- Building and maintaining unit tests and integration tests and engaging with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Supporting good SDLC practices, expertise in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Triaging and patching backend service issues
- Using microservices, event-driven architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Java and strong working experience with Python.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development.
- Working knowledge of Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience managing software projects in an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and production operations.
- Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and maintaining highly available production environments.
- Ability to independently manage projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and client communication.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, client-facing, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience managing full-stack teams (frontend + backend) preferred.
- Background in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or other regulated technology environments preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure preferred.
