Additional on-call compensation: Call is optional and compensated at a competitive market rate Role Description The Physician Assistant role at Affiliated Urologists, Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Phoenix or Scottsdale, AZ. The Physician Assistant will perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and assist in diagnosing and managing urologic conditions under physician supervision. Daily responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing in-office procedures as permitted, prescribing medications, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. The role also involves providing patient education, counseling on disease management and preventive care, and coordinating follow-up visits to ensure continuity of care. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to optimize clinic workflow, maintain detailed documentation, uphold regulatory and safety standards, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: Current Physician Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of Arizona and certification by the NCCPA.Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and performing office-based procedures, preferably in urology or a related specialty. Strong skills in medical documentation, electronic health record (EHR) use, and adherence to regulatory, safety, and infection-control standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and delivering clear, compassionate patient education. Ability to manage a full patient schedule, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment. Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and maintaining current knowledge of urologic conditions and treatments. Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program; prior experience in urology, surgery, or outpatient specialty care is highly preferred.
