About the role
Our client is ready to hire a Structural Engineer to join their team! The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration within Commercial Design. This position is based in Charlotte, NC, requiring the person to be onsite 1 day/week for meetings.
Responsibilities:
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects Prepare detailed AutoCAD or Revit drawings from field notes Prepare reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPE license would be a bonus Microsoft Office suite 2 years using drawing software Experience with timber framing, roof systems and helical piers Must have 3+ Structural Engineering industry experience, prefer commercial/industrial AutoCAD or Revit Must live within 2 hours of Charlotte, NC to attend a weekly meeting
