About the Opportunity:
A prestigious luxury hospitality organization is seeking a Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team at an award-winning Forbes Five-Star caliber hotel in Los Angeles. Fine dining hotel restaurant experience is strongly preferred.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of culinary leadership experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining environment.• Fine dining hotel restaurant experience preferred.• Working knowledge of knife skills, food preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment.• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.• Experience supervising and training kitchen staff.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Experience with inventory and cost controls preferred.• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Responsibilities:
• Report directly to the Executive Chef.• Oversee daily kitchen operations and food production.• Supervise food preparation, presentation, and quality standards.• Lead, coach, and develop culinary team members.• Assist with menu execution and seasonal offerings.• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and cost controls.• Review and maintain in-room dining reports and operational metrics.• Support exceptional guest dining experiences across hotel outlets. Manage kitchen operations in the Executive Chef’s absence.
