About the role
Paint Prep Location Lafayette, Georgia, U.S.AJob Purpose: To clean/prep or repair defects on a bare metal surface with the use of body filler and seam sealer before the painting process in a production line setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify defects to repair.
- Mix/apply body filler.
- Clean welds free of splatter.
- Apply seam sealer per work directions.
- Ensure quality at the source per standard operations.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Comply with all company safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
- All other duties assigned.
- Previous experience preferred:
- Basic knowledge of paint preparation is preferred but not required.
- Able to multitask.
- Ability to stand, walk the entire shift, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to wear safety PPE such as respirators, gloves and safety glasses.
- Additional overtime may be required.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Physical requirements:
