About the role
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment to machine solid and porous metal components
- Machine high-purity porous metal products to exact specifications
- Perform straightening, rounding, fitting, and assembly operations as required
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications accurately
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional and visual quality
- Maintain cleanliness standards required for high-purity products
- Support flexible production needs by adapting to changing priorities
- Follow safety, quality, and standard work practices aligned with IDEX operating principles
- Required Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent 1-2+ years of hands-on manual machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical school training in machining strongly preferred
- Proven ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment
- Experience machining to close tolerances on metal components
- Experience with manual lathes, mills, or similar equipment is required
- Technical SkillsManual machining (required)
- Blueprint reading
- Basic math and measurement
- Use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Basic computer skills for job transactions and documentation
