About the role

Support Engineer | Fix It Once, Automate It Forever | NYC Start-UpThe Opportunity This isn't a traditional support role. You'll be solving technical customer problems and then making sure the AI can solve them next time. You'll investigate issues across the product, APIs, integrations and data, fix them quickly, and turn what you've learned into knowledge, tools and workflows for the AI agents. The goal is simple: don't solve the same problem twice.
What You'll Do: Own and resolve technical customer issues Debug problems across the product, APIs, integrations and data Turn customer issues into agent knowledge, tools and workflows Improve the AI agents' ability to diagnose and resolve problems Identify recurring issues and work out how to eliminate them
About You: You're naturally technical and don't stop at the surface-level answer. When something breaks, you want to understand why. You have 1–5 years' experience in technical support, support engineering, solutions engineering, software engineering or a similar role. You're comfortable working with APIs, databases and basic SQL or code, and you're genuinely interested in AI agents and automation. Most importantly, you're resourceful. You like figuring things out yourself, taking ownership and working in an environment where there isn't always a playbook. Why Join? Most support roles involve solving the same problems repeatedly. Here, every problem is an opportunity to improve the product and teach the AI how to handle it next time. You'll work closely with founders and engineers, get exposure across product, engineering and AI, and have a genuine opportunity to shape how the company supports its customers as it scales.
The Company: You'll be joining a high-growth NYC technology startup at an exciting stage of its growth. The team is technically strong, ambitious and moving quickly, with a culture built around ownership and solving problems rather than following a rigid playbook. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and engineering, take real ownership from day one and help shape the product as the company scales. Location New York City — full-time, on-site 5 days a week. Compensation$120,000–$160,000 + equity If you're a Support Engineer who wants to go beyond tickets and actually build the systems that solve customer problems, we'd love to hear from you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
