About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry to join their dynamic research and development team in Welkom. This role is crucial for characterizing novel compounds, supporting process development, and ensuring the quality and consistency of our client's products. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing sophisticated analytical methods using a variety of techniques. Key Responsibilities: Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for the characterization of chemical compounds and drug substances. Utilize a wide range of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, and spectroscopy. Perform method development and troubleshooting for complex analytical challenges. Analyze and interpret experimental data, generating comprehensive reports and documenting results accurately. Collaborate with formulation scientists, process chemists, and quality control teams to provide analytical support. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in analytical chemistry and relevant regulatory guidelines.
Requirements: M.Sc. or Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry. Extensive hands‑on experience with various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. Proficiency in data analysis software and understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
