About the role
CNG Field Service Technician We're seeking an experienced CNG Field Service Technician to maintain and repair compressed natural gas fueling equipment. This is a hands-on field position for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with natural gas compression systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at CNG/RNG fueling stations Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures Service compressors, pumps, engines, valves, piping, actuators, gas dryers, and related equipment Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur Complete service reports and document repairs, inspections, and parts usage Travel between customer locations using a company vehicle Follow established procedures for safely working around compressed natural gas equipment Participate in an on-call rotation as required
Qualifications:
Direct CNG service or maintenance experience strongly preferred Experience with natural gas compressors and compression equipment Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities Knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, controls, hydraulics, or HVAC is beneficial Industrial electrical or heavy equipment maintenance backgrounds will also be considered Valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors, travel locally/regionally, and lift 50+ lbs. High school diploma or GED
