About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager, Portfolio Operations to lead portfolio governance, strategic intake management, and cross-functional program execution within a fast-paced technology organization. This individual will partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Strategy, and Customer Support to prioritize, resource, and drive critical initiatives that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who excels in complex, matrixed environments and has a proven track record of managing large portfolios of programs while influencing stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee a diverse portfolio of programs and initiatives, balancing business priorities, resource constraints, and organizational objectives. Own the intake and prioritization process for new initiatives across multiple functional teams. Assess incoming requests to determine scope, business impact, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements. Partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Strategy, Marketing, and Support organizations to drive successful execution. Develop and deliver portfolio health reporting, executive updates, and governance reviews on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Provide leadership teams with actionable insights, progress updates, and portfolio recommendations. Identify operational inefficiencies, execution gaps, and process improvement opportunities. Drive accountability across stakeholder groups to ensure successful delivery against objectives. Leverage program management tools and automation solutions to improve visibility, efficiency, and scalability across the organization. Support resource planning, capacity management, and portfolio governance efforts.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Program Management, Portfolio Management, Project Management, or Operations Program Management. Proven experience managing large-scale portfolios consisting of multiple concurrent initiatives and programs. Strong background in portfolio governance, prioritization frameworks, resource planning, and capacity management. Experience operating within highly matrixed and geographically distributed organizations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining alignment with business objectives. Experience with project and portfolio management tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Airtable, or similar platforms. Experience supporting customer operations, technical operations, customer support, customer success, or post-sales organizations within a technology-focused company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience implementing AI-enabled workflows, automation initiatives, or process optimization programs. Familiarity with operational excellence methodologies and continuous improvement practices. Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. Background in high-growth technology or SaaS environments. What Makes You Successful Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
