The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role within the Tenant Advisory practice, providing advanced financial analysis and strategic insights to support corporate occupiers in real estate decision-making. This position is responsible for leading financial analysis and scenario development for complex lease and purchase transactions, developing sophisticated models that inform negotiations, market conditions, and delivering client-ready reports and recommendations that influence C-suite decisions. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will contribute to business development by supporting brokers in pursuits, preparing abstracts, portfolio insights and identifying creative structuring opportunities that maximize tenant leverage. The role also includes mentoring junior analysts, improving team processes, and serving as a trusted advisor during client interactions. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to possess knowledge in various real estate asset types, understand asset cash flows, evaluate lease versus purchase scenarios, and stay informed about market conditions and dynamics. It is also the responsibility of Senior Financial Analyst not only to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with tenants, prospective tenants, owners, team members, and vendors but also to focus on productivity and results.
Position Essential Functions: Lead financial analysis for high-value lease transactions, including new leases, renewals, subleases, buyouts, lease vs buy scenarios, and early restructures. Independently build, refine, and maintain complex cash flow and scenario models. Develop and explain lease accounting strategies using Cash, P&L, Balance Sheet, and EBITDA impact. Summarize and interpret lease documents, term sheets, proposals, and abstracts with attention to economics, concessions, and risk. Prepare executive-level presentations, provide RFP commentary, translate financial insights into clear strategic recommendations, and present findings confidently. Participate in client meetings and calls, serving as the financial expert alongside brokers. Develop detailed project scorecards, project timelines, and portfolio-level dashboards. Research and synthesize market conditions, comparables, cost benchmarks, and landlord trends. Manage a high volume of multiple projects, documents, and outputs with accuracy and and mentor junior Financial Analysts on modeling techniques, report formatting, and presentation standards. Contribute to process improvement by enhancing financial templates, reporting packages, and visualization tools. Support business development by collaborating with brokers on pursuits and client pitches. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree with emphasis in real estate, finance, business administration, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • A CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
  • A real estate license maintained in good standing.2-5 years of experience analyzing commercial real estate lease transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles (GAAP, DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivit.y).Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to internal and external clients. Ability to keep information and internal communications confidential. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Travel may be required.
