About the role

Position requires an experienced earthwork technician responsible for the observation and testing of earthwork construction and asphalt installation. Candidate should be well versed in related disciplines of field and laboratory analysis and testing of soil including use of nuclear gauge and sand cone equipment, performance of basic laboratory tests including compaction curves (Caltrans and ASTM D 1557), plasticity index, grain size, etc. Experience with lime and cement treated soil and aggregate base a plus. A successful candidate must be able to properly follow directions, perform in a responsible manner with minimal oversight and foster professional relationships with customers, contractors and fellow employees. Requirements Certifications by Caltrans, NICET, ICC Soils Inspector Ability to prepare well‑written and concise reports capturing all necessary elements Experience with commercial, education, infrastructure, civic, healthcare and/or parking structures located in the State of California for projects ranging in value from $10 million to $500 million Excellent written and verbal communication, and photo documentation Experience with non‑conformance tracking, punch list preparation and attendance at site meetings About the Company United Engineering Resources, Inc.
