Vice President of Business Development Location: Hybrid or Remote (U.S.-based) Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience, plus a variable compensation plan with target earnings equivalent to 50–75% of base salary. Position Summary:
This is not a traditional sales role. The Director of Business Development will help drive the commercial expansion of a category-defining technology at a pivotal stage of growth. Working closely with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device leaders, this individual will identify new opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and convert complex technical discussions into long-term commercial partnerships. Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Generation Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve annual bookings and revenue objectives. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within target market segments. Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, conferences, and strategic outreach. Lead the sales process from initial customer engagement through proposal development, contract negotiation, and close. Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics. Strategic, Technical & Consultative Selling Develop relationships with key decision-makers across sterilization operations, engineering, manufacturing, facilities, quality, validation, and executive leadership. Effectively communicate the value proposition and technical advantages of Noxilizer’s technology and services. Conduct customer presentations, discovery meetings, and solution-focused discussions. Coordinate account strategies with internal stakeholders to develop customized customer solutions and maximize customer satisfaction. Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies. Provide market feedback and customer insights to support services and product development and commercial strategy. Represent Noxilizer at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events. Build relationships with industry influencers, consultants, and strategic partners. Sales Operations Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity tracking, and forecasting in the CRM (Hub Spot).Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, sales process performance, and market developments. Support business and marketing planning and development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.7+ years of successful business development, account management, or technical sales experience. Demonstrated success selling into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or related life sciences markets. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Willingness to travel up to 50% or as needed. Preferred Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or medical device R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory processes and environments. Existing relationships within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device organizations. Experience selling technical services and process technologies.
