About the role

Lead the financial strategy behind care that this community counts on. Gallup Community Health is looking for a Finance Director to serve as our senior financial leader — a CFO-scope role reporting to the Executive Director and partnering directly with the Board’s Finance Committee. If you want your financial expertise to translate into more access, more services, and a stronger safety net, this is that job.
What you’ll do: Own the full financial picture: budgeting, forecasting, cash management, monthly close, and Board-level reporting Lead FQHC-specific finance — PPS/wrap reconciliation, Medicaid and Medicare cost reports, sliding fee scale, 340B program economics, and payer contracting Manage Section 330 grant budgets, drawdowns, and compliance; support UDS reporting and HRSA operational site visits Direct the annual audit and Single Audit (Uniform Guidance), and keep us clean and audit-ready year-round Build and mentor the accounting, billing, and revenue cycle team Bring the numbers into strategy — service line expansion, capital projects, grant opportunities, and long-range planning
What you bring: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA/MHA strongly preferred 3+ years of progressive financial leadership, ideally in an FQHC, community health center, or nonprofit healthcare setting Working knowledge of FQHC reimbursement, federal grant compliance, and nonprofit accounting (GAAP, fund accounting) A collaborative communicator — comfortable with clinicians, Board members, and auditors alike Genuine commitment to the mission of community health
