About the role

About Flyra Flyra is stablecoin infrastructure for businesses in markets the traditional banking system underserves. Through one API, payment service providers embed wallets, yield, Visa cards, settlement, and credit for their business customers, with payments orchestrated across banks, stablecoin networks, and off-ramps for the best route and price. Flyra also gives partners a data platform: a continuously reconciled, real-time view of every balance, liability, and transaction across on-chain and off-chain accounts. Vedax, our AI layer, works on that data to investigate transactions, monitor reserves, and turn payments data into insights and credit decisions. We're in production, backed by Coinbase Ventures, Digital Currency Group, Rally Cap, and Goodwater, and led by a founder who was CFO at Kabbage and Flutterwave.
The role: You'll build and own Flyra's risk and compliance function as we serve businesses in high-risk regions and move toward owned rails in the US. Banks, regulators, and partners need to trust our controls before they trust our volume. You'll make that possible, and turn compliance into a reason partners choose us.
What you'll do: Own the compliance program: BSA/AML, KYC/KYB, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and Travel Rule Lead sponsor bank relationships and the path to money transmission licensing Run partner due diligence and ongoing oversight for the PSPs that distribute Flyra Build the credit and counterparty risk framework behind our lending Manage regulatory obligations across the US and the markets we serve Work with engineering to build controls into the platform and Vedax, not bolt them on What you bring 12+ years in compliance or risk at a bank, fintech, or payments company, including time as a senior leader Demonstrated experience managing compliance and risk in high-risk jurisdictions and corridors, including navigating local regulatory requirements, correspondent/sponsor-bank relationships, and elevated financial-crime risk Direct experience with sponsor bank programs, BaaS, or money transmission licensing Deep BSA/AML and sanctions expertise, with exposure to emerging or high-risk markets Working knowledge of stablecoin and digital asset regulation Credit risk experience is a strong plus Able to say yes to growth safely, not just no Why Flyra Founding executive role with meaningful equity Live product with real volume Shape how regulated stablecoin infrastructure is built for markets that need it most

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
