The Student Utilization Ambassador serves as a liaison that informs fellow Odessa College students, faculty, and staff of the services that the Student Support Services department offers, including ARAG Legal Insurance. This role blends outreach, education, and administrative support to help ensure students, faculty, and staff know about and use our resources when facing challenges that could otherwise disrupt their academic progress. Specific Position Duties Represent the Student Support Services team at campus tabling events, orientation sessions, classroom meetings, and student org fairs. Deliver short, peer-friendly presentations in classrooms, dorms, or student gathering spaces to build awareness and trust in the benefits we offer Staff an info table/booth on a regular schedule in high-traffic areas (Food pantry, student center, library, cafeteria, etc.)Create and distribute outreach materials in coordination with the campus Liaison Track and report basic outreach metrics (students reached, events staffed, materials distributed) to the campus Liaison Focus on increasing student awareness and utilization of the food pantry, mental health counseling, accommodations, wrangler bucks, and ARAG Legal Insurance Provide informal feedback to supervisor on student concerns, barriers to utilization, or suggestions for improving awareness Assist with administrative tasks related to increasing utilization and student support services Assist with other projects on campus as needed
