Job Title
Reports To: Principal / Assistant Superintendent
Job Goal: To help provide an instruction and learning environment which fosters the ability of each pupil to master mathematics skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual potential.
Qualifications: New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level preferred. 5-8 Math certificate or k-6 certification with advanced coursework in teaching mathematics preferred Minimum of three years of teaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of best practices and current research in math instruction and intervention Proven experience in fostering student achievement Experience using data to track, diagnosis, and remediate student learning in math Effective problem-solving, human relations, and communication skills Possesses a mindset of ongoing learning, experimentation, innovation, and enthusiasm Demonstrates a commitment to professional development Successful Criminal History Clearance. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
