Assembler Job Title: Assembly Associate Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Montgomery AL.
Pay: $18.00 per hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Assembly Associate is responsible for assembling security locks, sliding devices, door hardware, and related components according to production specifications. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to safely use hand and power tools, and a commitment to producing quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble locks, sliding devices, door hardware, and related components according to work instructions, blueprints, and production and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions. Accurately read and use a tape measure. Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic production equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect parts and completed products for quality, accuracy, and defects throughout the assembly process. Report damaged, defective, or incorrect parts to the appropriate supervisor. Meet daily production goals while maintaining established quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing guidelines. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines. Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency. Properly handle materials, components, tools, and finished products. Complete other production-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, blueprints, safety procedures, and company policies. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependable, with good attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed. Ability to meet all required pre-employment screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing, production, or assembly experience. Experience assembling mechanical components or hardware. Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic production equipment. Previous experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment.
