Associate Counsel – Real Estate
New York, NYAbout the Role
Our client, a growing New York City real estate owner, operator, and management company, is seeking an Associate Counsel to join its team. This is a hands‑on role for an attorney with 2–5 years of real estate experience who understands the realities of representing landlords and wants to work closely with the business rather than practice from the sidelines. The Associate Counsel will advise on a range of real estate and transactional matters, partner closely with the leasing and property management teams, and represent ownership in landlord‑tenant matters, including Housing Court proceedings. The right person is practical, responsive and solutions‑oriented — someone who knows the law but also knows how to get a deal done, resolve an issue and keep things moving.

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
