About the role

The Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) is seeking a Medical Director to join our community mental health practice. This is a unique opportunity to develop and participate in innovative practice models in a small-town Vermont setting. CSAC is a recognized leader in adopting promising practices such as Open Dialogue, peer based crisis support alternatives, and innovative applications of trauma informed systems work. We value contextualized, relational psychiatric practice integrated within a dynamic, collaborative, and team‑oriented environment. Every day here is different! We take pride in our unique approach to building connections, strengthening communities, and fostering meaningful professional practice. The Medical Director provides leadership to the Psychiatry team and collaborates with a wide variety of colleagues to support high quality client care at all levels of the organization. The responsibilities can be somewhat flexible, depending on your interests and experience, but would include some combination of clinical supervision, direct client care, ensuring compliance with relevant state regulations, acting as liaison to community partners, and advocacy. This position could be part‑time or full‑time. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of psychiatry in Addison County! Full‑time salary starting in the range of $200K–$235K. If you’re a psychiatrist eligible for licensure in Vermont with an interest in shaping the critical services we provide to our community, please respond to Alexa Euler, HR Director, aeuler@csac‑vt.org or call 1802 388 6751 x 477 with questions. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
