About the role

Barista Position At Atlanta / Druid Hills Area ECI Management Group is looking to hire a Barista in Atlanta / Druid Hills area at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus. Full time position 36 to 37 hours weekly - Hours: from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday - Friday. Baristas are expected to educate customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You will also be able to assist in prep of goods such as fruit cups, pastries, bake cookies, and other such items for sale.
Note: this position's compensation includes salary and tips. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.
Responsibilities: Greet customers as they enter Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients Take orders while paying attention to details such as preferences of coffee blend, dairy vs non-dairy, sugar ratios Prepare beverages following recipes Serve beverages Serve prepared food like cookies, pastries, muffins, sandwiches Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the bar area clean Check if brewing equipment operates properly Report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Communicate customer feedback and recommend new menu items to managers Pay: $17/hr based on experience plus percentage of tip pool. Must be able to pass background check with history of last 5 years.
