About the role

Mobile Equipment Operator, Eatonton, GAAt Interfor, we're more than a lumber company. We're helping build the homes, businesses, schools, and communities that people rely on every day. As an Mobile Equipment Operator in Eatonton, GA, you'll play an important role assisting operations in the safe and efficient movement of lumber products throughout our manufacturing operation.
What You'll Do: Daily physical and written inspection of equipment prior to start-up. Operate equipment in a manner to maximize productivity by unloading log trucks. Sort logs. Housekeeping in and around log yard. Grease equipment and help with maintenance.
Physical Requirements: Walking, Stairs, Bending, and Lifting (Up to 50 lbs).
What You Bring: Able to complete operator certification. Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise. Able to lift heavy objects and to climb up and down from equipment. Recognize problems and have them corrected immediately. Understand the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team. Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things. Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments. Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work. High School education or GED equivalent preferred.
