Job Purpose:
This position relates to the processing of inbound and outbound shipments and storage of auto parts at the Dana Global Trade Center in support of Dana's manufacturing and global supply chain. The Materials Tech processes all material in the warehouse for shipments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify and prepare incoming and outgoing shipments. Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Receive parts into inventory using and RF scan gun, shop floor system and warehouse management system. Separate inbound loads by part number and customer. Scan parts out of inventory to ship outbound loads using FIFO method. Ensure BOL is signed by the driver and filed. Load shipments on appropriate carriers according to daily Hot Sheet. Affix shipping labels and assure loads are not overweight. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with management to rectify damages and shortages. Operate equipment to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to appropriate area. Bind containers using strapping machine or shrink wrap if needed. Attach identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
Education and Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
