We are seeking qualified applicants for the position: Senior Manager, OT & Telecom Engineering Systems Located: Houston
Summary: The successful candidate will be self-motivated and shall have direct knowledge and experience with Telecom Systems (PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Radio, RFID, Plant Network with OT/ICSS systems and OT Security) and Server Infrastructure, Firewalls and associate software applications. Experience with large capital project development in Oil & Gas industry with knowledge of LNG operations is desirable. This position will be a main contributor to ensuring LNG Plant Technology systems are ready for operations and deployed per specification(s). The Senior System Admin is also responsible for working closely with the VG Project Management Team and providing timely reporting to VG Leadership. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills. This role reports to the Manager of Plant Technology and Telecoms Systems Integration. General Description Duties & Responsibilities Work with EPC, Telecom and ICSS vendors to ensure systems are being deployed and function as designed Actively participate in break/fix activities related to IT and Telecom Systems Actively participate in installation and upgrade activities Coordinate and interface with other IT discipline IT Infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity, Project Management and Plant Technology Applications Support VG Project, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning activities Recommend options to reduce or maintain costs in Plant Technology (OT & Telecom) Infrastructure hardware, software, and deployment Travel to current and future VG LNG Sites or Corporate Locations as needed
Qualifications:
  • Required experience
  • Bachelor's degree with background in discipline related to Telecom, Electrical or Instrumentation & Controls with strong background in Information Technology 5 years' experience in system design, build, commissioning and operations of OT and Telecom systems
  • Proficient in at least 3 of the following domains with demonstrated accomplishments (PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Radio, Firewalls, Level-3 Network and Server Infrastructure, Virtualization and OT Security)
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, documentation and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of Project Management methodologies as it pertains to this role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
