About the role

Senior Product Engineer 📍 New York City🏢 4–5 days in office💰 $200k–$230k base + equity🛠️ TypeScript / React / Node / AWSI’m working with a fast-growing NYC business looking to add a strong product-minded engineer to a very small, high-impact team. This is the sort of role that suits someone who wants considerably more ownership than they’d get in a larger engineering org. You’ll be working closely with the founders, taking product areas from fairly loosely defined problems through to production; speaking with users, shaping the solution, making technical decisions and actually building the thing. The team is interested in engineers who are comfortable across the stack and enjoy working at pace. I'm keen to speak with people who have:3+ years in strong product engineering environments Experience with TypeScript / JavaScript / Node / ReactBuilt and owned meaningful features end-to-end Worked in smaller, fast-moving teams where engineers have real product input A good understanding of how to use AI tooling to improve the way they build Strong technical judgement without being overly precious about role boundaries The company is growing quickly, and has an engineering team of just a few, so there’s a lot of scope to influence both the product and how the team builds. The work spans web, mobile and increasingly AI-powered product experiences, with engineers expected to own problems rather than simply implement tickets. If you’re a strong engineer in NYC and want to work somewhere where your individual contribution is very visible, send me a message. The important thing is that you like ownership, pace and building products close to the customer!

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
