Job Description: As a Back End Engineer, you are ready to tackle big problems, enjoy working in an agile and dynamic multi-functional team, love data, and want to make a huge impact. You work together with product managers, designers, and front end engineers to solve common goals. Your day to day consists of optimizing our systems for speed and stability, implement security solutions, and building/maintaining our microservices and APIs.
Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our systems and platforms.
  • Enforce clean code and excellent coding practices by conducting thoughtful code reviews
  • Develops and communicates technical processes, standards, and best practices to the team
  • Support existing applications
  • Work with Product, Design, and Engineering team members to analyze feasibility of, and architect solutions based on high-fidelity design prototypes
  • Integrate with third party and partner tools to develop prototypes and products
  • Contribute to technical documentation by developing diagrams, code comments, and clear code
  • Meet business needs by consistently delivering quality solutions on-time, within budget, and scope
  • Senior Engineers will be expected to Lead and Mentor junior members of the team and within the company
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5-10+ years of software engineering experience as a Back End Engineer
  • Experience with SQL, C#, some Python, Nodejs more for front end, TypeScript, and AWS Serverless preferred
  • Familiarity with general design principles and patterns
  • Experience with legacy code and refactoring
  • Knowledge and experience working with RESTful Web API/Services
  • Experience with developing scalable web applications in the cloud (AWS preferred)
  • Proactive and willing to learn and adopt new patterns, practices, and technologies
  • Ability to thrive in a culture of quality and personal accountability

  • Familiarity with Airflow, Databricks, Parque, Snowflake, Spark, and Tableau will be valued
