About the role

The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Skidmore College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track Assistant Lecturer position in Chinese beginning January 2027. This is a one semester appointment.
Responsibilities: Teach one 4-credit Chinese Language course in the spring 2027 semester. A minimum of an MA in Chinese linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and excellent command of English; and evidence of experience and commitment to language teaching at all levels typically offered in U.S. universities and college Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level Salary Range: $10,228.00 All bargaining unit members shall be covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Skidmore College and Services Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 200 United.
