About the role
Schedule, Shift, Hours PRN, Days, 8:00am-4:30pm
The EMS Coordinator is a professional caregiver who acts as liason for hospital, EMS workers, and other providers of emergency services. Responsible for the clinical organization, implementation and evaluation of paramedics and EMTs under SWGHC medical control. Keeps current with the knowledge and skills required to perform the job. Scope of practice includes neonates to 100+ years. May be asked to participate in community projects, events and educational programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Certified Paramedic ( State of Ohio), Bachelors Degree in health related field required. EMS Instructor certification required. Instructor certification for ACLS, BLS, ITLS and PALS required. Organizational skills, ability to work to a deadline, respond efficiently and appropriately.
Required length and type of experience: 4 years experience in EMS, Emergency Department experience preferred, teaching experience required.
Required licensure, certification or registry: Certified paramedic in the State of Ohio, EMS instructor certification
