Second-Shift Production Lead Join Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) as we are launching an exciting new Bottle Bill processing facility in Bangor! We are seeking a hands-on, Second-Shift Production Lead to help drive safety, efficiency, and team development in a fast-paced industrial environment. The Production Manager is responsible for leading employees in assigned production areas to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals. This role plays a key part in developing employees, enforcing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient daily operations.
Job Type: Full-time.
Shift:
Monday-Friday. 4:00pm 1:00am (depending on operational needs and volume).Functions &
Responsibilities:
Ensure all safety standards are taught, followed, and enforced consistently. Lead and support a team of production employees (bag dumpers, machine operators, forklift operators, etc.) of up to 10 employees. Assign work areas, cross-train employees, and maintain regular communication with staff. Step into operational roles as needed to support production. Communicate issues, concerns, and opportunities to the Operations Manager. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and safety. Track, analyze, and report production and performance metrics.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience (industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse environments preferred).Forklift experience. Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Ability to operate machinery and equipment. Maintenance experience is a plus.
Pay: $22/hr, starting.
