About the role
We are searching for an experienced Quality Control Engineer on behalf of our manufacturing client. This position supports manufacturing quality through process evaluations, audits, supplier quality oversight, and ongoing maintenance of quality systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to manage multiple quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct process readiness studies and develop process flow diagrams.
Support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and UPPAP activities.
Coordinate and support internal process audits and customer audits.
Evaluate new contracts for quality requirements and manufacturing readiness.
Review and approve internal manufacturing methods.
Support supplier approval activities and maintain supplier quality processes.
Manage quality clinic activities, including RR, SCAR, RRCA, QN, and VR processes.
Maintain quality systems and associated documentation.
Oversee calibration activities, gauge studies, and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R).
Collect and analyze cost-of-quality data to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop standards and support improvements to manufacturing methods and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of quality control engineering experience, or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical understanding of quality engineering and manufacturing processes.
Ability to analyze information, document findings, and communicate results.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to develop standards, manage processes, and support continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
