Our challenge We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Java Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as Flowable BPM.

*The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
Develop and integrate workflow/process automation solutions using Camunda BPM or Flowable BPM.Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party/internal systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with root cause analysis.
Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, design discussions, and retrospectives.
Work closely with Leads, Architects, DevOps and QA teams for smooth release management and deployment automation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and frameworks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with, Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture and REST API development
- Experience with BPM/workflow automation using Flowable BPMStrong knowledge of Hibernate / JPA, SQL / NoSQL databases, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
- Experience with API Gateway, Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker patterns, and distributed systems concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and secure coding.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in Java, Spring, Flowable, or cloud technologies
- Experience in domains such as Banking and payments.
- Knowledge of container orchestration, workflow optimization, and process automation strategies
