Job Summary: HireCare Services - Vermont is seeking an experienced LPN to join our team on a 13-week contract at a long-term care facility in Burlington, VT. As a Travel LPN, you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of certified nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulations, and providing direct patient care. Essential Functions: Participates in the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents, observing for changes in their status and documenting accordinglyTranscribes physician orders, administers medications, and performs wound treatments as per physicians' ordersProvides nursing leadership to nursing personnel, providing direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, and IV administrationCollaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents' needs are holistically metInitiates, reviews, and updates care plans as requiredAdditional Tasks: Treats all residents with dignity and respect, promoting and protecting their rightsEstablishes a culture of compliance by adhering to facility policies and proceduresMaintains confidentiality of protected health informationReports noncompliance, retaliation, or discrimination to appropriate personnelParticipates in life safety and emergency drills and trainingsLicensure and Certification:
  • Current valid LPN license in VTValid CPR certificationExperience:
  • At least one (1) year nursing experience preferredEvidence of continuing education or special preparation or experience in gerontological nursing and/or long-term care nursing desirableBenefits:
