Service Now Developer
Location: Remote – Must be local to the DMV/Washington, DC area
Duration: 6 months, with potential for FTE conversion
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM ETClearance: Public Trust required Work Authorization: US Citizen only; no dual citizenship
Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on Service Now Developer to support the design, development, configuration, and enhancement of Service Now applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Service Now development experience and be comfortable working across multiple Service Now modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and configure Service Now applications and modules. Work with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, and workflows. Support Service Now integrations with external systems. Participate in testing, release management, and production support. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions. Follow Agile development practices and participate in team ceremonies. Contribute to custom application development and platform enhancements.
Required Skills:
Hands-on Service Now development experience. Strong Java Script / Glide experience. Experience with Service Now modules such as CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, or HRSD.Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work hands-on while collaborating with senior technical team members.
Preferred Skills:
Service Now CSM experience. Service Now certifications. ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, or Service Mapping. ITAM, SAM, or HAM.Service Now integrations. Flow Designer. Now Assist, AI Agents, or third-party LLM APIs. Automated Test Framework (ATF).HTML, CSS, jQuery, or AngularJS.Important: Candidates must be local to the DMV/Washington, DC area. Role is currently remote, but there may be future return-to-office requirements. Must be able to work East Coast hours. Public Trust clearance is required before starting. US Citizenship required; no dual citizenship. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
