About the role
Job Title Responsible for daily pick-up of food donations from local vendors and assisting in maintaining daily operations and cleanliness of the food pantry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up food daily from local vendors
- Record, weigh, and log temperatures of donated items
- Assist in receiving, unloading, shelving, and keeping inventory of food
- Sort and distribute donated bread, sweets, chips, and other food items while keeping appropriate records
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle
- Become food safety trained as required through the Cleveland Food BankRecord in-kind donations received through pantry/warehouse
- Represent the ideals and integrity of The Salvation Army in the highest possible ethical and moral business conduct
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
- Minimum Education and/or Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Special Skills, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Background check is required through the Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCII)
