Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technician (Jump Team) | Nationwide Like to travel and work on your own schedule? Inter Med's Jump Team sends experienced biomedical techs to hospitals across the country to help with PM backlogs, equipment projects, and staffing gaps. Inter Med has served hospitals for over 20 years and was one of the first companies to offer traveling biomed support. How it works Assignments last from about 2 weeks to several months, at hospitals across the US.You're paid hourly with at least 40 hours a week while on assignment. We prepay your flights, rental car, and hotel, and you receive a daily per diem. Gas is reimbursed. Between assignments, your time is your own. You're free to take other work. This is a part-time, non-benefited W-2 position (not 1099).
What you'll do: Perform PMs, inspections, electrical safety testing, calibrations, and repairs on hospital equipment such as infusion pumps, monitors, and defibrillators. Complete project work on schedule, such as clearing overdue PMs or device-specific campaigns. Document all work in the client's CMMS.Get up to speed quickly at each hospital and work professionally with biomed leaders and clinical staff.
What you bring: Hospital biomedical experience (required). For entry-level roles: a biomed or electronics program with hands-on training; a hospital internship is a plus. BMET II: 3+ years of hospital experience. BMET III: 5+ years, including specialty equipment such as anesthesia or respiratory. Two-year degree in electronics or biomedical technology, or equivalent military training. Valid driver's license and ability to rent a car. Comfortable traveling by air and staying in hotels for extended periods.
