Role Description: This full-time or part time, on-site role in Weaverville, NC is for a Family Physician (MD or DO), Physician Assistant (PA), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). The clinician will provide direct patient care, including routine primary care visits, chronic disease management, preventive services, and acute care for minor illnesses and injuries. Daily responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals when needed. The role involves documenting encounters in the electronic health record, participating in care team huddles, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The clinician will engage in patient education, support community health efforts, and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications: Demonstrated competence in Primary Care and Family Medicine across the lifespan. Experience managing acute conditions in an outpatient or Urgent Care setting. Commitment to Community Health and preventive care initiatives. Active, unrestricted license (MD/DO, PA, or FNP) in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine (for physicians) or relevant specialty (for PA/FNP).Strong clinical judgment, patient communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team and adapt to a busy outpatient environment. Current DEA registration, BLS/ACLS certification, and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
