About the role

Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a remote contract position, the candidate will lead innovative welded product design, develop design concepts, and perform metallurgical analysis, leveraging expertise in GTAW and Resistance welding. Key responsibilities: Develop innovative design concepts, process specifications, and comprehensive drawings for welded products Lead the team by delegating tasks, providing technical oversight, and managing project schedules Conduct detailed metallurgical analysis of weldments, focusing on austenitic stainless steels Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related field 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering Expertise in GTAW and Resistance welding processes Strong understanding of physical and welding metallurgy Experience collaborating with Project Managers and cross-functional teams
