About the role

Assistant QC Technician Perform inspection at all levels for raw and coated materials (as determined by the QC Department) to ensure quality standards are met. Assist the quality technician in performing daily inspection. Clean, prepare, and assemble product. Inspect the quality of coated material before and during production. Ensure quality of final product. Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition. Report defective material or questionable condition to the department QC technician on duty Contribute and adhere to safety and quality. Communicate status of operation in a timely manner to the quality technician on duty including any safety and/or process problems. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Focus on work and minimize interruptions. Prioritize, work well under time pressure, and focus on work in midst of noise. Comply with safety laws and regulations. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Familiarity with quality principles; experience testing product quality Hands-on experience with efficient preparation, execution, gathering/storing/interpreting relevant data; and preparing reports Printer machine operator experience is preferred High school or GEDRegularly required to stand, stoop, kneel and/or crouch Capable to lift or move 50 lbs or more throughout the shift Occasionally required to climb or balance Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls: reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
