About the role
- BA/BSMA Special Education certification as Teacher of Students With Severe Disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to engage, direct, and teach high school-age students
- Skilled at setting limits, processing events, and guiding students in behaviors and self-management
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations, including mandated reporting
- Experience with IEP-focused service delivery or solution-focused counseling
- Ability to establish strong relationships with students and parents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reading Instruction training is not required but is an advantage.
